The Healthy Women Wealthy Nation Foundation (HWWNF) is a non-profit organization that seeks to empower underprivileged women and children around the world by assisting them, in mutually respecting terms, to be healthy, independent, skillful, and self-conscious human beings who can voice their presence in society. To that end, the HWWNF raises funds that support different initiatives aimed at developing their human capacity. These initiatives include health clinics, awareness-building events, capacity-building workshops, fundraising for crisis mitigation, healthcare and education support, feeding homeless populations, and food distribution among poor communities.

Alone we can do so little, Together we can do so much.

Breast cancer is the second most common cancer in the South Asian country. Every year, nearly 15,000 women contract breast cancer and 50 percent of them die. As in other developing countries, Bangladesh suffers from a general lack of breast cancer awareness and inadequate access to the treatment of the disease. Most patients are diagnosed at an advanced stage of the disease, when very few options remain.

Healthy Women Wealthy Nation seeks to build awareness of breast cancer in Bangladesh. This organization emphasizes the importance of early detection of breast cancer as an effective way to fight the disease and influence overall treatment outcomes. HWWN hopes to develop a robust public conversation on the threat of breast cancer in Bangladesh. Toward this goal, we organize awareness-building walks in difference cities of the world. Our eventual goal is to raise funds to develop a world-class hospital in Bangladesh, dedicated solely to the diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer.

Healthy Women Wealthy Nation Foundation (HWWNF) is a nonprofit organization based in Washington DC, and Bangladesh. One of the key goals of the Foundation is to build awareness of breast cancer in Bangladesh. Breast cancer is the second most common cancer in the South Asian country. In resource-limited countries like Bangladesh, the significance of early detection of breast cancer cannot be overestimated. Building awareness, screening, and early disease detection should be at the center of a cost-effective public health strategy. Healthy Women Wealthy Nation Foundation hopes to develop a robust public conversation on the threat of breast cancer in Bangladesh. Toward this goal, we organize awareness-building walks in different cities around the world. Our eventual goal is to raise funds to develop a world-class hospital with the assistance of a local partner, the Mohiuddin Ahmed Foundation, in Barisal in Bangladesh. The hospital will be dedicated solely to diagnosing and treating breast cancer.
